A spread is nothing more than a bundle of options used to manage risk and take advantage of volatilty and option decay. The amount you lose or gain when trading debit vs credit spreads varies. Because of the high probability, I trade using credit spreads. In addition, my risk management practices are pretty stringent, which helps me avoid catastrophic losses.
