Ever since the financial crises, pundits have predicted huge inflation that has never materialized. World economies have continued to produce in a deflationary way. Technology, retail sales, manufacturing and now Covid have pushed the envelope more towards deflation rather than inflation. In fact, I believe that there is more of a risk of moving towards negative rates rather than the opposite.
