For many years, I was not a successful trader. In fact, I lost a lot of money!
After many years of losses, I moved to credit spreads and Iron Condors. My main strategy became selling monthly expiration iron condors on the SPX exchange.
I did have some losses at the beginning while trying to learn and understand how to manage those trades but it was no longer big losses. Eventually I tweaked the trade so that it would produce 7% to 15% monthly.
Now over 90% of my trades are credit spreads on the SPX index. And after I started to trade professionally, I added the 0 DTE trade and trade both today.
So here are 3 tips that may help move you to profitability:
- Find a strategy that you feel comfortable with
- Trade it often and in small amounts. For me it was credit spreads but for you, it may be something else.
- Trade with real money since that will help you concur your emotions.
If you do this, I can assure you that you will begin to see consistent result. That will boost both your confidence and your profits.
